We are pleased to announce we are running a 3D archaeology project. Using drones and working with the University of South Wales we will be surveying archaeological sites in the Gwent uplands. We will be using these 3D images and models to help get children and adults with disabilities to get involved with archaeology. For the society to achieve this they have applied or funding to buy a state of a art drone along with VR goggles. Our sponsor A1 survey as helped the society with 3D software and training. For the Society to use a drone legally the societies secretary Ian Fewings is undertaking training with the UAV Academy to gain his licence.
