AIMS

Protect

We aim to protect historical buildings and sites in a number of ways i.e recording what is on a site or researching and recording the history of a building, also by raising funds to help save historical buildings and sites.

Preserve

We aim to preserve the history and archaeology of the area by getting the community involved in projects. To get volunteers to help run places like museums and any other historical sites .

 

Educate

We aim to educate people of the area about the history and archaeology in the old Parish of Aberystruth by running courses, heritage walks, field trips and talks. We also aim to educate the youth of the area by running summer workshops.

Promote

We aim to promote the area by membership of the society, advertising what the society is doing in the area via radio,papers, internet, leaflets and via the Worldhost and Ambassador scheme etc.

Organisations

We work closely with a number of organisations to make sure historical recording and archaeology are done correctly.
